Don’t make it personal !

When you are an empath, you take things too personally. And it actually isn’t good for the peace of the mind. People have different perspectives and so there is a high probability that their opinion won’t match yours. It’s Ok to accept that. Don’t get convinced easily of the fact that if the other felt in a certain way, you should also feel the same.

It’s good to have different types of people in your life, but the point is if everyone around you is very different from you, you end up doubting your own self. You worry that your thinking is not matching with theirs and if you are sensitive, it can hurt your morale sometimes. You need to know that there are definitely your kind of people in this world, but they aren’t with you currently. So, don’t question that unique spark of yours. Accept and appreciate what you stand for.

Let me share one case, in my close circle, there are 3 friends of mine who are very choosy about their photographs and they keep on telling me that I am a terrible photographer and that they are quite good at photography,  but the reality is,  I easily accept all my pictures irrespective of how I look in them. However, they are very fussy about it. Now, if I take their opinion into consideration, it questions my photography skills whereas in reality, it’s their attitude that is different when it comes to their pictures.

So, I need to know that I need not take it personally. No one is right or wrong. We are not on the same page when it comes to certain things.

Lastly, don’t put in peril the peace of your mind by comparing your opinion with others. Don’t try to make other’s happy at the expense of your own happiness. Your opinion matters. Your decisions matters. Just because you are with a different set of people, who think differently, it shouldn’t make you question your own self. Embrace it all.
